Stockholm Furniture Fair is taking the next step in its development and will become a biennial event from 2027.
In order to meet future demands and ensure long-term development of the platform in line with market needs, Stockholm Furniture Fair is now gathering strength. In collaboration with the Swedish furniture industry and its representative TMF, Trä- och Möbelföretagen, it has been decided that the fair will not take place in February 2026. Instead, efforts will be directed toward a relaunch in 2027.
The aim is to better keep pace with the industry’s development and needs, create better conditions for long-term growth and build a broader platform over time — with activities and initiatives even between the fair’s editions.
The new rhythm as a biennial strengthens Stockholm Furniture Fair’s position as the most important business platform for Swedish and Scandinavian design, where the industry meets innovation, knowledge and quality.
— The goal is to create an even stronger, more relevant and future-oriented platform and therefore we now choose to gather strength for 2027. This is an important step in our ambition to develop both the business, the product and the experience together with the industry,” says Chicie Lindgren, Business Area Manager for Stockholm Design Events.
